Student Academic Management System (SAMS) acts as an integrated portal provides common platform for admission into various courses across the state through e-Admission. e-Admission aims to use information technology to process applications for admission which would reduce time and improve efficiency of the college functionaries who have been doing it manually. It would also make the admission process economical, efficient, hassle free and transparent for the students and their parents. The students / parents have to travel to any one college under e-Admission process in order to be able to get admission to any stream of any college of their choices.

In e-Admission process, there is one common application form (CAF) for admission to any stream of any of the Junior colleges / H.S. Schools and Degree colleges respectively for +2 and +3 classes. There is one common prospectus containing the basic information about all Junior / Degree colleges. In e-Admission, an applicant has to be very careful about filling up options as one's selection depends upon his/her choices. Taking the 10th Board / +2 marks into account selection is made for different streams. If one gets selected against his/her first option, the lower options will not be considered. If one gets selected againct his/her 2nd or lower option, his/her higher option will be considered in the 2nd selection. One should be very careful in filling up the options. Selection is made on the basis of marks secured in the last qualifying examination giving weightage and reservation if eligible as per Govt, rules.

Intimation for e-Admission will be communicated through SMS, Internet, Sanjog Helpline (155 335), and college Notice Board and on the website. A selected candidate only can take admission under e-Admission system. It is a new venture of the Govt, of Odisha.
