The Career Counselling Cell at Gandhi Mahavidyalaya serves as a dedicated platform to guide students in shaping their professional futures. The main Objectives of this cell is to help students identify their interests, skills, and aptitudes; and align them with suitable career paths. It further helps students in organizing workshops, seminars, and training sessions to enhance students' employability skills. Simultaneously providing information and counselling about further studies, competitive exams, and scholarships. The cell also collaborates with industries and organizations to create job opportunities for students offering one-on-one counselling to address individual career-related queries and concerns.

Career Counselling and Plastic Waste Management Programme Successfully Conducted

Gandhi Mahavidyalaya, Rourkela, successfully hosted a Career Counselling and Plastic Waste Management Programme on 18th December 2024 at 11:30 A.M. in the college premises. The event was organized in collaboration with the CIPET Skill Technology Centre, Bhubaneswar, and catered specifically to the final-year students of the college. Objectives of the Programme was to guide students on career opportunities and skill development and to educate students on the critical issue of plastic waste management and sustainable practices.

Career Counselling and Quiz Competition Successfully Conducted

Gandhi Mahavidyalaya, Rourkela, successfully organized a Career Counselling and Quiz Competition on 19th November 2024 at 12:15 P.M. in collaboration with USBM (approved by AICTE). The event took place on the college premises and was specifically designed for final-year students to provide insights into various government schemes and opportunities. The event aimed to offer career guidance to students, highlighting government schemes from both the Government of India and the Government of Odisha. It also encourage student participation and learning through an interactive quiz competition.

Campus Hiring Programme Successfully Conducted

On 20th December 2024, Gandhi Mahavidyalaya, Rourkela, hosted a Campus Hiring Programme for final-year students of +3 and +2 (Arts, Commerce, Science) streams in collaboration with Mindblink Solutions Pvt. Ltd. The programme took place at 11:30 A.M. in the college premises, providing an excellent opportunity for students to engage with potential employers. The main objectives of the event were to provide students with the opportunity to interact with Mindblink Solutions Pvt. Ltd. and explore potential career opportunities and to offer students insights into the recruitment process and expectations of the industry. The Campus Hiring Programme provided students with valuable exposure to the hiring process, helping them understand industry expectations and how to approach career opportunities. Several students were shortlisted for further rounds, marking the event as a successful initiative in bridging the gap between education and employment.
